Akure’s Assaulted Olori dies

Olori Bolanle Adesina who was assaulted last year by her husband, the deposed Deji of Akure is dead. She reportedly died of cardiac arrest.
Oba Oluwadamilare Adeoju Adesina Osupatadola, the immediate past Deji of Akure got in the news for the wrong reasons just a little over a year ago when he assaulted his wife, Olori Bolanle Adesina. The attack occurred after the Olori had been sent out of the palace sequel to a disagreement with her husband.
The monarch reportedly stormed Olori Bolanle’s Hospital Road residence where he ordered that a substance suspected to be acid be poured on her.
The monarch’s uncivil action eventually led to his deposition and eventual banishment. Traditionally, it is believed that it is a taboo for an Oba to either fight or beat anyone.
Street Journal’s findings revealed that the Oba Adesina was a man of a violent disposition. Apart from several disagreements with his chiefs, he was alleged to have engaged in several fights over landed properties in the town.
