Earthquake Hits America’s East Coast

An estimated 5.8 magnitude earthquake shook the East Coast of the United States of America on Tuesday afternoon. The earthquake shook buildings in Virginia, North Carolina and even New England. The quake left many Americans frightened. The fact that the area was unaccustomed to earthquakes made it the more frightening.

The biggest earthquake to strike the East Coast happened in the late 1800s in South Carolina, it was a magnitude 7 earthquake.
