Flying Eagles Crash Out, Lose2-3 To France

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles were on Sunday humbled by their French counterparts in a Quarter Final match in the on-going FIFA U-20 World Cup. Alexandre Lacazzette had put the Europeans ahead in the 54th minute and the Eagles were one goal down till the 92nd minute when Madabuchi Ejike headed home the equalizer with just 10 seconds of added time left.
The Nigerians resumed with renewed zeal trying to justify their status as African champions. Two goals from Fofana and Lacazzette however put the game beyond the Nigerians, though a second goal came for Nigeria with about six minutes from the end of extra time, it was not enough to give the gallant John Obuh tutored lads a place in the semi finals.
