Samson Siasia Sacked!

The Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has fired Samson Siasia, the Head Coach of the Super Eagles. The Technical Committee of the NFF had earlier recommended the sack and forwarded it to the Executive Committee.
At the meeting held on Friday, the Executive Committee adopted the Technical Committee’s recommendation that Siasia should be sacked for failing to meet the terms of his contract and that the penalty clause in the contract should be respected. The clause is that the NFF is at Liberty to terminate Siasia’s contract if he fails to qualify for the semi-finals of the 2012 CAF African Nations Cup. The team however failed to qualify for the tournament, no thanks to a 2-2 draw with the Syli Nationale of Guinea a few weeks ago.
The NFF Executive Committee also directed the Technical Committee to meet next week to recommend a replacement for the sacked coach. Three of Siasia’s team mates in the Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi, Daniel Amokachi and Sunday Oliseh have already indicated their intention to coach the senior national team.

NFF has got no focus at all. How can U sack someone who did not loose any of his matches…. the same NFF employed someone who could not qualify his country to World Cup, and all we got was a complete mess….

NFF, be prepared for the worse in Nigeria football. You had simply passed a message to Eagles that they should stand against any disciplinarian Coaches, which we actually need for the survival of football in this country. NFF as a body must also be sacked as they too has failed as a football body as is obvious NFF lay the foundation for the failure of Coach Siasia. We shall see how thing goes.

NFF you have done your worst. Let’s not forget that Siasia was in the process of building a new team. In the course of building a new team you don’ expect to win always. This win at all cost syndrome is our problem. We just started seeing the typical attacking play synonymous with Nigerian football under Siasia, coupled with team discipline. You have only succeeded in building indisciplined players. By the way, is Siasia the coach of Under 23 who failed to qualify for All African Games in Mozambique? Is Siasia the coach of Super Falcons who are out of both the All African Games and Olympics? Is Siasia the coach of Eyimba or that of Sunshine? Something definitely is wrong with our NFF. Abeg check yourselves there – with people like these in our NFF, Nigerian football will never grow – even IF YOU HIRE MORINHO! Anyday any time, I DOF MY HAT FOR SIA ONE

I Thank the NFF by taking this bold decision, despite all the intimidating rumors of the Bayelsa State link with the President. Having failed to achieve his contract terms, he had to go. I am particularly pleased because a Coach that cannot manage the human element of the national team is just not good enough. He was too dictatorial for comfort, he forgot the Lord’s prayer concerning forgiveness. If he had succeeded it would have been victory of evil over good.
I know want to believe his exploits in the junior national teams were due to the infiltration of those teams with over aged players that he could bully most easily. Good

Siasia failed because of his stubbornness, one must raise above personal sentiments including the much talked about discipline also you don’t allow petty issues to stop you from fielding your best players of course, the bucks always stop at the top! Next time you learn how not to use hammer to crack an egg!

Hire him – sack him between 6months to 2 years – hire and interim coach – coach selection jamboree – coach selected – Hire him – sack him between 6months to 2 years – hire and interim coach – coach selection jamboree – coach selected – Hire him – sack him between 6months to 2 years – hire and interim coach – coach selection jamboree – coach selected – AND THE CYCLE CONTINUES.
Talk about Deja vu – That is what I am feeling right now.

i believe that it is more than the head coach job, i believe it is more than the clause on the contract, i believe some body is trying to get some deal out of this, how can you give a man a job of this type after loosing one of the qualifiers, the mandate of qualifying,if its about clause let the public decide for they cried for him taking the job in the first place, a coach who played eight matches, won four, draw three and lost one against Argentina is that not a good enough mark when will the technical committee understand that continuity is the key to success, i guess his leaving mikel obi and taking out Jewel obi has cost nigeria a lot of pain but my personal opinion is that he should still be the head coach
