Boko Haram Issues Fresh Threat, “We’ll Attack Politicians Next”

The notorious militant Islamist sect, Jama’atul Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal Jihad otherwise referred to as Boko Haram has issued fresh threats. The threats were issued by the sect’s spokesman Abu Quqa on Thursday, sequel to the arrest and prosecution of Senator Ali Ndume and Ali Sanda Konduga, who claimed to be a spokesman for the sect.

Quqa who spoke to newsmen on phone denied that politicians are the sponsors of the group. He also issued a notice that more gun attacks and bombings will be carried out soon. Quqa pointed out that offices of political parties and top politicians will from now be attacked to prove their point that they are not being sponsored by politicians.

The spokesman who conversed with reporters in Hausa language also warned individuals and organisations that have rented out their properties to political parties to go ahead and revoke their tenancy as no political party will be exempted from the imminent attacks.

He also disclosed that the group has links with the infamous terrorist organisation, al Qaeda. He said “they (al Qaeda) assist us and we assist them. Any Muslim group that wants to establish an Islamic state can get support from al Qaeda if they can reach out to them.”
