Boko Haram Issues Fresh Threat In Jos

. Lists Targets For Christmas

With the effects of the bombing perpetrated while soccer fans were having a good time at a football-viewing centre in Plateau State, members of the terrorist sect,  Boko Haram in the state have issued fresh threats stating that it has planned to bomb some locations in the state on Christmas day and Boxing Day. The warning was contained in pamphlets circulated in Jos and environs.

Jos North Local Government Area was named as one of the targeted areas.

The information on the pamphlet signed by one Idris Musa reads inter alia: “we the entire Muslims of Plateau State will never give up until we have our rights. We will use your boys to destroy you. Nothing can stop us from bombing these areas before December 26, 2011 in the name of Allah”.

The raes listed as targets include Archbishop Court, Jenta Adamu; ECWA Bishara, Jenta Adamu; Obalende Joint, Jenta Adamu; King Step, Jenta Adamu and Civil service Club,  Millennium Park; Sacred Heart Church Kabong; Living Faith Church Kabong; Satellite Market Kabong; Zinc House Kabong; Cool Penny Kabong; Saminaka Viewing Centre Kabong; Melody Guest House Kabong; Kowa Guest House Rukuba Road; El-kasim Guest House Rukuba Road; Meeting Point Joint Rukuba Road; Step Joint Alheri; Lamed Pharmacies Alheri, Saint Murumba Alheri and Redeemed Christian Church of God Alheri.

The Spokesman of the Joint Task Force (JTF) confirmed that he has seen the pamphlet and he said his men are making efforts to nip the threat in the bud. He disclosed that efforts would be made to ensure that the yuletide season is celebrated peacefully.
