The wife of the newly appointed Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar has passed on. Street Journal gathered that Maryam Abubakar died on Monday morning in Kano. She died after a brief illness.
She fell ill on Sunday and was taken to the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital where Doctors prescribed medication after which she was discharged. Burial arrangements were being put in place as of the time of filing this report.
Her husband Mohammed Dikko Abubakar resumed as the Acting Inspector General after Hafiz Ringim’s resignation last week.
