The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Azubuike Ihejirika has announced the immediate removal of the General Officer Commanding 1 Div of the Nigerian Army, Major General Joseph Shoboiki.
It will be recalled that the Headquarters of the 1 Division, Kaduna was one of the targets of a bomb attack by the Boko Haram sect. The attack was however foiled as the suicide bomber was shot before he could ram his bomb-laden vehicle into the admin block of the army formation.
