Another act of terrorism shook the city of Jos in Plateau State on Sunday morning. Worshippers who had gathered for the 7 am service at the Church were stunned when an explosion occurred while the first service was still ongoing.
The attack left at least four people dead including the suicide bomber. A father, his son and another member of the church also lost their lives. Not less than 30 people including the Plateau State Commissioner of Information, Abraham Yiljap were also injured as a result of the blast. Street Journal gathered that a soldier was beaten to a state of coma having been accused of opening the gate for the suicide bombers to drive in.
The attack is believed to have been carried out by the Boko Haram sect as its members have perpetrated a number of killings and bombings across some states in the northern part of the country in the last few days.
