Fears Over Former UBA MD, ‘Keem Bello-Osagie’s Health!

There were fears over the state of health of  multi-dimensional businessman, Hakeem Bello-Osagie on Saturday.  News had filtered in that he was discovered dead in his room on Saturday morning and the rumour spread like wildfire within minutes. The rumours of death have however been dispelled as Street Journal has since found out that the businessman is alive and well.


Bello-Osagie, fondly called ‘Keem by friends and admirers holds the position of theChairman of Etisalat Nigeria has a distinguishing CV and was known to be a boardroom guru and businessman of high repute. He was the MD of UBA and the bank’s history is incomplete without him especially in view of his achievements as the Managing Director and CEO of the bank.

Keem attended the famous Kings College after which he moved to Atlantic College, Wales. He bagged a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics after which he proceeded to Cambridge University where he  bagged a Law degree in 1978, after which he was called to the Nigerian Bar. He also bagged an MBA from Havard Business School.

His business interests cut across the banking, entertainment and telecoms sectors.

Few days later, he was flown to Abuja and granted bail on self recognition!. So he is a free man now at least till next 7years, because case no dey finish here till minimum of 7years plus. Now, calculate what tax payers are losing . 1. Stolen N1.35B + EFCC officers salary + Legal fees. Keyamo and Co will collect nothing less than N50m to prosecute any case. At the end of the day, the court will give a verdict that this man is not guilty.( N1.35b fraud then go home on self recognition). So the more you steal the more you will be recognized as VIP in Nigeria. Is this type of anti corruption war making sense at all.
