In a recent chat, Gbenga Adeyinka said “I don’t know why I am so particular about Ibadan but I guess the love they showed me the first time proved my point that Ibadan is the home of comedy. This show would be worth the while of lovers of entertainment in Ibadan.” He also said “I want tyo look forward to Gbenga Aderyinka and friends every holiday season in Ibadan. It is not all about money but I like money, I won’t lie because money answers many things.”
He disclosed that at every of his shows, he brings up two new artistes who will go on to bigger things from there. He said the revelations of the Easter show will be Morac and Chybyke. When Street Journal asked about the criteria used in selecting artistes and comedians that will perform in Ibadan, Gbenga Adeyinka pointed out that the first factor that was put into consideration was to find out who Ibadan people would want to see. Secondly, he said the show would cater for the family, so “we have what a 5-year-old would like and what will also appeal to a 60 year-old. It’s mix grill. For instance, Tony Tetuila will definitely bring back some memories, Terry G is there, 9ice will give a blend of the traditional thing and hip hop and I am sure Weird MC will do Ijo Ya even if she will do her new song. We also have at least three comedians from Ibadan billed to perform” he said.
