The National Judicial Council has recalled Justice Isa Ayo Salami, the suspended President of the Court of Appeal.
Justice Salami was suspended after a major disagreement between him and Justice Aloysius Katsina-Alu, the then Chief Justice of Nigeria last year. Salami went to court to challenge his suspension.
A committee headed by Justice Lawal Uwais was constituted to look into the issue and the committee went on to recommend his reinstatement. The National Judicial Council held a meeting on Wednesday where it was unanimously agreed that a letter should be written to President Goodluck Jonathan about his reinstatement.
