Workers Scamper For Safety As Bomb Scare Hits Abuja

Palpable fear hit the Wuse Zone 5 area of Abuja on Friday as information circulated that a bomb night have been planted in an unknown location in the busy area. Almost all the offices located there struggled to evacuate their staff thus creating a lot of confusion.
Traffic congestion also resulted as everyone wanted to get out at the same time. It all started from speculation that a bomb was lying undiscovered between Top View Hotel and the headquarters of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps.
The area is believed by many to be a probable target because it houses the headquarters of the People’s Democratic Party, the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) as well as the office of the Civil Defence, all of which are directly linked to the Government.
The area has since been cordoned off by men of the police anti-bomb squad.
