Okey Wali Emerges As NBA President

With the new legal year set to begin in September, members of the Nigerian Bar Association have elected a new President. Okey Wali, the new President emerged on Tuesday during a conference of the association.

Wali, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria had a total of 688 votes while Emeka Ngige who also contested for the association’s presidency had 449 votes.

Before his election, Wali who takes over from Joseph Daudu SAN had served as the Chairman of the NBA, Port Harcourt; he also served as the Rivers State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice. He was called to the Bar 26 years ago.
