Okene Church Shooting: Gang Members Arrested!

The Joint Task Force on Wednesday announced that some suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting at the Deeper Life Bible Church, Otite in Okene, Kogi State on Monday. 20 people who were attending the bible study session of  the church were gunned down by suspected terrorists.

Street Journal gathered that the suspected leader of the group whose name was given as Yekini Isah was nabbed in Ibilo, Edo State. Detectives had traced him to a hideout in Kogi State early on Wednesday. He and members of the group reportedly shot at the policemen who returned fire. Police sources disclosed that he escaped with gunshot wounds and had to go to a traditional healer in Ibilo for treatment. Luck however ran out on him as he was arrested there.

Two other people, including a woman were however apprehended in Kogi State.

    They are cowards. Attacking and murdering innocent unarmed people/children. The Islamic radicals hate Christians to the point that they go into their place of worship and kill in cold blooded murder. How many Christians have attacked Mosques when the people were worshiping and killed? They say they kill in the name of their allah/god. No god would direct anyone to kill people who are worshiping Him. These people are just cold blooded murderers.
