Nigeria’s Super Falconets on Thursday morning cruised into the semi-final of the ongoing World Female Youth Championship in Japan by beating their Mexican counterparts by a lone goal. The match ended goalless in regulation time after which it went into extra time. Both sides gave good accounts of themselves with the Nigerian girls losing a number of scoring chances. The Mexican goalkeeper too was up to the task as she did her best to help her side into the last four of the competition.
Nigeria’s goal came in the 18th minute of the extra time via a header from Dezire Okparanozie.
