The burial of Miss Cynthia Osokogu who was murdered by friends she met on Facebook which had been slated to hold on Friday could not hold as the Police authorities did not release the body to the deceased’s parents.
A mass was however held in her honour in Boji Boji Owa in Ika North Local Govt Area of Delta State.
Street Journal gathered that the pathologist could not complete the autopsy which made it impossible for the police to release the body. The burial was slated for the Osokogu’s hometown in Delta State.
The report of the autopsy might prove to be vital in the investigations of the police as well as in the case against the men who are standing trial for Cynthia’s murder.
The deceased had a Bachelors degree in English Language and was pursuing her Masters degree at the Nassarawa State University before her gruesome murder.
Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan condoled with General Frank Osokogu and his family while Senator Ifeanyi Okowa was one of those who attended the mass. Cynthia’s friends too came in all black outfits, they all wore mournful looks. Two of the deceased’s brothers were also at the mass. They spoke glowingly about her, especially her business acumen.
24-year-old Cynthia was lured to Lagos by friends she met on Facebook, a social network after which she was abducted and later murdered.
