A bomb explosion hit the Cosmopolitan Hotel on Uche Road, Sabon Gari, Zaria in Kaduna State on Wednesday evening. The blast occurred just as some people who had gone to watch one of the European Champions League matches in the hotel’s premises were leaving. The hotel is also believed to house a brothel. Security agents are currently searching for the suspect who allegedly detonated the explosive device. Police sources said he acted alone.
A bomb had been detonated earlier in the week when JTF members attacked a house believed to be a Boko Haram hideout in the city.
