Commissioner Kidnapped In Rivers State!

Hon Nwokocha Augustine, the Rivers State Commissioner for Power has been kidnapped. The Commissioner was abducted along with his Personal Assistant, Samson.
The Commissioner was kidnapped in Ede, Onelga Local Government Area of Rivers State by a group of men who blocked his vehicle and pulled him out of his Toyota Land Cruiser. The Commissioner’s vehicle was left at the scene of the kidnap. Nwokocha is not a new face in the politics of his home state. He represented his Constituency, Onelga in the Rivers State House of Assembly between 2003 and 2007.
Street Journal gathered that the kidnappers have not contacted the family yet.
Kidnapping has gradually become one of the most commonly committed crimes lately. The abductors of the wife of the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly were arrested over the weekend after having demanded a ransom of N 200 million.
