Height Of Insecurity: House C’ttee Chair On Security’s Mother Kidnapped!

There is no worse fate that can befall a Doctor than to suffer affliction in his area of specialization. The state of insecurity in Nigeria was further confirmed on Tuesday with the abduction of Mrs Obedatu Abudu-Balogun, the mother of the Vice Chairman of the House Committee on Internal Security, Honourable Abiodun Abudu Balogun.

Mrs Balogun was abducted by gunmen at her residence in Ita Otu, in the Ijebu region of Ogun State around 9.30 pm on Tuesday. The Honourable and other family members described the incident as painful. Kidnappings have been on the increase lately. The wife of the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly was kidnapped recently and was in the hands of her abductors for days.

The Ogun State Police Command’s PRO, Mr. Muyiwa Adejobi could not be reached for comments as calls made by Street Journal correspondents were not answered.
