Reports monitored on Nigeria’s National Television, NTA indicated that President Goodluck Jonathan paid a visit to his wife who is recuperating from an unnamed ailment in Wiesbaden, Germany over the weekend. It was said in the report aired in the evening news on Saturday that the President was accompanied by his two children and the Chaplain of the Presidential Villa Chapel, Venearble Obioma Onwurumba.
He was received on arrival by Ambassador Abdul Abubakar, Nigeria’s Ambassador to Germany.
The First Lady who was delighted to see her husband specifically requested to take a picture with the President as she was heard saying “let me take pictures with my husband.”
Though it is being said that the First Lady was in hospital for some weeks in Germany, her aides have stuck to their initial story that she merely went there to take some rest.
It is also being speculated in some quarters that the video was recorded before the President left for the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
