Another Air Disaster Averted As Abuja-Bound Plane Develops Fault Mid-Air!

73 Passengers Escape Death

Another air disaster was on Sunday averted as an Abuja bound plane which took off from Lagos suddenly developed a fault mid-air, just about fifteen minutes after it took off. One of the plane’s engines reportedly developed a fault forcing the pilot to make an emergency return to Lagos. The flight, VL 2104 departed Lagos around 12.15 pm.

The aircraft which belongs to Med-View Airlines had 73 passengers on board as of the time of the incident. About 15 minutes into the flight, a loud sound came from one of the engines and there was a drop in the aircraft”s altitude. It also swerved left and right for a few minutes before the pilot was able to control it and make a detour. Passengers who were obviously scared started making all sorts of prayers and supplications when the incident happened.

Incidentally, it has been observed that most air crashes that have occurred in recent times in the country happened on weekends.
