Money Laundering: Gov Lamido’s Son To Spend The Night In Prison!

Aminu, son of the Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido was on Monday remanded in prison custody till Tuesday, pending the determination of his bail application by a Kano High Court. The younger Lamido was apprehended on his way to Egypt last December as he failed to declare the sum of $ 40,000 he had on him at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport. He was thereafter charged for money laundering by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Before he was arraigned on Monday and ordered to be remanded by Justice Satun Riman, Aminu had been on administrative bail.
