Silvio Berlusconi, Italy’s former Prime Minister was on Thursday sentenced to a 0ne-year jail term by an Italian court for making the taped details of a confidential phone call public during a case related to a 2005 banking scandal. The judge granted the request of prosecutors who asked for a jail term of one year for the former Prime Minister.

Incidentally, Berlusconi is facing two other trials; one for allegedly paying for sex with an under-aged prostitute and the other for an alleged tax fraud.
