The bid of Nigeria’s Super Eagles to feature at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil received a boost on Wednesday afternoon as the team defeated the Harambee Stars of Kenya by a lone goal in Nairobi. The lone goal was scored in the 85th minute by Ahmed Musa.
The first half had been largely uneventful as there were barely any threatening chances.
As stands now, Nigeria has been able to consolidate its lead in Group F as the Eagles have garnered 8 points from 4 games. Malawi, having played a goallessdraw with Namibia trails Nigeria with 6 points from 4 games. Namibia is third with 4 points while Kenya sits at the rear with 2 points.
