In a new video released on Saturday, Nigeria’s most wanted man and leader of the outlawed Boko Haram sect, Abubakar Shekau denied that his group struck a ceasefire agreement. “We will never enter into any agreement with unbelievers or the Nigerian Government,” he said.
While also denying that the Boko Haram sect kills children, Shekau threw his weight behind the recent attack on some schools in the Northern part of Nigeria.
Speaking in Hausa language in the 15-minute video, Shekau said “we support the job they did at the schools in Mamudo and Damaturu and other attacks in other schools. We are going to burn down the schools if they are not Islamic schools.”
The nation’s number one terrorist also said “we don’t harm children, we only burn the schools. Our religion does not permit us to harm small children and women. We don’t kill children.”
On the fate of teachers however, shaking his finger, Shekau said “teachers that are teaching Western education, we will kill them, we will kill them.”
It will be recalled that 29 students and a teacher were killed in an attack on the Government Secondary School in Mamudo, Yobe State recently.
