The Ogun State Police Command has stated its readiness for the challenges that usually come with the last four months of the year, usually called the “ember” months.
The declaration came on the heels of a lecture for officers and men of the command on professional/operational strategies to curtail crimes and criminality in Ogun State during the “ember” months.
The lecture was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner of Police Operations DCP Mohammed Abdulkadri and it had in attendance all Area Commanders, DPOs and Heads of Departments from all over the state.
The DCP who represented the Commissioner of Police, Mr Ikemefuna Okoye emphasised the need for officers and men of the Ogun State command to be proactive and alert in order to checkmate hoodlums who may want to embarrass the command.
He assured the people of the state that the police command is ready to provide adequate security for all and sundry in the state and as such urged them to be calm. He however appealed to the general public to assist the police in giving useful information and be more security conscious.
