A new twist has emerged to the killing of seven people inside an uncompleted building in Apo, Abuja. The building has been traced to Mrs Adunni Oluwole Salisu, believed to be a sister to Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Nigeria’s former President.
7 illegal occupants of the building were shot dead by security operatives on Friday, September 20.
Checks from the Abuja Geographical Information Systems (AGIS) revealed that the uncompleted building located a. 8, Bamanga Tukur Street, Gudu District, near the Gudu cemetery, belongs to Mrs. Salisu. Documents from AGIS revealed the property’s number as OG247326.
A joint team of soldiers and men of the SSS stormed the place in the early hours of Friday, killing 7 of the occupants and wounding several others.
Street Journal gathered that some agents of the owner had gone ahead to issue an order to the illegal occupants to quit the property within a week. The deadline was about two days away when the killings took place.
Street Journal has also gathered that most of those arrested have been released since they could not be linked with the dreaded Boko Haram sect. The weapons purportedly exhumed from the location too have not been made public.
Meanwhile, the Senate has ordered an investigation into the killings.
