NUJE Chairman, Wole Arisekola Resigns!

The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Europe Chapter (NUJE), Mr Wole Arisekola has resigned his appointment.

Arisekola made this known on Tuesday in New York where he witnessed a scheduled meeting between President Goodluck Jonathan and President Barack Obama of the United States.

“I am quitting the NUJE Chairmanship to face my business and allow the younger generation of members to move the union forward with fresh ideas”, he stated.

Mr Arisekola also announced that the union will bed led by Mr Kabiru Lashley Oladigbolu, who will serve as acting Chairman till 2015 when new officials will be elected.

Wole Arisekola, the Publisher of The Street Journal, with offices in Dublin, Ireland and Nigeria was elected as the Chairman of the union in the September 2010. election which took place in Brussels, Belgium.

The new Acting Chairman, Mr Oladigbolu has been the Chairman of the Kingdom arm of the NUJE since December, 2012.
