Ogun CP Tasks Stakeholders on Security Consciousness

The Commissioner of Police Ogun State CP Ikemefuna Okoye met with the stakeholders in security business in Ogun State on Wednesday at the Police Officers Mess Ibara Abeokuta.

The commissioner reminded the stakeholders, including the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) members, transport unions, Trade Union, Labour union, Civil Society Organisations, Bankers’ Forum and Vigilante Service of Ogun State on the need to be more security conscious and law abiding.

CP Okoye while commending the members forum for their support in various capacities to assist the police and other security agencies in the area of providing adequate security in the state, condemned the use fireworks and bangers and unapproved carnivals or processions during the yuletide; and that anyone found wanting will be dealt with accordingly.

The participants at the meeting appreciated the commissioner for the regular stakeholders’ meetings and promised to support the police in discharging its duties.

Other senior officer who attended the meeting with the commissioner were the Deputy Commissioner Admin, DC Halidu Gwandu, Assistant Commissioner of police  Anthony Ekong, Superintendent of Police  Shitu and DSP Muyiwa Adejobi Police PRO Ogun State.

The CP also disclosed that efforts are on to intensify patrol all over Ogun State ahead of the yuletide period.
