Alhaji Ganiyu Kolawole, a 71-year-old hunter who resides in Oba Ile, Akure is presently in trouble with the law. Kolawole whose neighbours have alleged to be a specialist in raping children, was apprehended on Wednesday by officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) after he was accused of raping a 7-year-old pupil.
The PRO of the Ondo State command of the NSCDC, Kayode Balogun disclosed that the incident happened on Tuesday, December 3 at Oba-Ile in Akure North Local Government Area, when the pupil was returning from school.
The victim, a Primary one pupil of a public primary school in Akure whose name was given as Taye told NSCDC officers that she was returning from school and had wanted to drink water from a well when Alhaji Kolawole carried her into his room and had carnal knowledge of her.
