In his continued bid to ensure reconciliation and pacify aggrieved members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) through nationwide consultation with party elders, the Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu was at the Hilltop Mansion residence of General Ibrahim Babangida on Friday. The Chairman was accompanied by about 14 members of the party including a former Speaker of the House of Reps, Alhaji Ghali Umar Na’aba and Alhaji Abdullahi Maibasera, the party’s Youth Leader and he went in for a meeting with the former military President around 12.05 pm. The meeting lasted for an hour.
Both Babangida and Mu’azu declined to say anything about their discussion. While the former President stated bluntly that he was not ready to talk, Mu’aszu simply said he was there as part of the “meeting with our elders”. He went on to say “it was a fruitful meeting”.
