Indications have emerged that Jones Arogbofa, a retired military general who has authored several books might emerge as the much expected replacement for Chief Mike Oghiadohme, the President’s Chief of Staff who was relieved of his duties last week.
General Arogbofa, a nartive of Oka-Akoko in Ondo State is being tipped by sources in the Presidential villa.
The likelihood of a South Westerner emerging as Oghiadomhe’s successor was also fuelled by the Predident’s move towards pacifying the South West geo political zone which has alleged marginalization of its people in terms of appointments.
The retired General holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama, United States of America and also a Masters in Military Arts & Science (USA Command) and General Staff College.
He was once the Chief Commanding Officer (CCO) of ECOMOG. He was also at a time the Asst. Director of Finance (Nigerian Army).
He has published four books and has written many articles and publications and he is presently a consultant to the United Nations (UN)
