Bayern Munich Boss Jailed for Tax Evasion!

Bayern Munich manager, Uli Hoeness was on Thursday handed a three and half years jail term for tax evasion.
A German court convicted Hoeness who voluntarily disclosed that he had failed to pay taxes.
Hoeness in his self confession claimed to have evaded 27.2 million Euros in taxes on income he earned in secret Swiss banks.
The soccer manager who helped transformed Bayern Munich to a reputable football club was hoping for a light sentence but was surprised when the Judge ruled that he would be spending the next three and half years of his life in a German prison.
The verdict came as a shock to many football lovers and fans of the ex-footballer all over the world.
Hoeness as a player won the World Cup with West Germany in 1974.
The court session which was viewed by millions of people on the television was said to be unjust based on claims that Hoeness made a self confession under a law that designs amnesty for tax evaders.
