Jonathan Visits Yar’Adua’s Mum in Katsina

President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday took time to pay homage to Hajia Aya Dada, mother of the late President, Umar Musa Yar’ Adua in Kastsina.
The President who is on a two-day visit to Katsina State was at the compound of the Yar’Aduas around 9.20 and he was accompanied by the Katsina State Governor, Ibrahim Shema.
The President and his entourage were led to the matriarch of the Yar’ Aduas by Mustapha, a younger brother of the late President who received them on arrival.
As Dr Jonathan was introduced to Hajiya Dada, he knelt down and greeted the woman who took time to pronounce motherly blessings on him.
Before leaving the compound, the president also went to pay homage to Alhaji Yusuf Musa Yar’Adua, elder brother of the late Yar’Adua.
Umar Musa Yar’Adua was elected as President in 2007 with Dr Goodluck Jonathan as his vice. He however passed on in May 2010 paving way for Jonathan to assume office as Nigeria’s President.
The President went on to inspect a number of projects in the state.
