Embattled Olympian and paralympic champion, Oscar Pistorius vomited in court on Monday as the court heard a graphic account of the injuries on Reeva Steenkamp’s body was by the pathologist who carried out the post-mortem.
The murder trial of the 27-year-old athlete entered the sixth day on Monday.
The trial judge, Thokozile Masipa banned details of the post-mortem being reported or broadcast due to the nature of the assessment given by Professor Gert Saayman which described tin details the damage caused to Steenkamp’s body from the fatal gunshots.
When Pistorius began vomiting, he needed to have his microphone moved away from him due to the amount of times he retched as he listened to details of the autopsy.
Pistorius is facing murder charges for shooting Steekamp to death on February 14, 2013.
He has however denied murdering the deceased, stating that he mistook her for an intruder when he fired the shots.
