DHQ Announces Arrest of Jos Bombing Suspect

Nigeria’s military authorities on Wednesday announced the arrest of a suspect in connection with the May 20 bomb attack that killed more than 200 people in a market in Jos, Plateau State.
The announcement was made by the Director of Defence Information, Gen Chris Olukolade. Though the identity of the suspect was not revealed, Olukolade said “in respect of this incident, the police has reported that a suspect has been taken into custody while all leads are being pursued to resolve and apprehend the culprits.”
Two bomb-laden vehicles were parked at the Central Market and detonated while commercial activities were at the peak, killing and injuring hundreds of people.
