24-Hour Curfew in Kaduna as Suicide Bombers Kill 80

The Kaduna State Government on Wednesday declared a 24-hour curfew following twin bomb explosions that killed scores of people in the state capital.
While stating that he was the target of the suicide bombing at Kawo, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) disclosed that the occupant of the bomb-laden vehicle had tried without success to overtake his convoy. He however said at the point where they slowed down, the bomber rammed his Toyota Sienna into the convoy and detonated the explosives.
Apart from Buhari who was on his way to Daura when the incident happened, an Islamic cleric, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi was also believed to have been the target of another explosion apparently for his criticism of the Boko Haram sect.
