The four new ministers recently confirmed by the Senate were on Wednesday assigned portfolios by President Goodluck Jonathan.
Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau, the former Kano State Governor was sworn-in as the Minister of Education while Dr. Stephen Oru resumes as the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs; Mr. Adedayo Adeyeye is the new Minister of State for Works; and Dr. Abdul Bulama -Minister of Science and Technology.
The President directed that the former Minister of State for Works, Ambassador Bashir Yuguda should take over as the substantive Minister of National Planning as well as Minister of State for finance.
The new ministers were sworn-in shortly before the commencement of the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting.
The President told the Ministers that Nigerians expected a lot from them.
urged them to perform not only to satisfy him but all Nigerians.
