The training academy reserved for the use of Nigeria’s anti-riot police better known as the Police Mobile Force in the northen part of Nigeria has been overrun by the Boko Haram terrorist group.
Witnesses disclosed that the terrorists stormed the academy in three armoured personnel carriers and lots of motorcycles. “They started shooting almost immediately”, the witness said.
The Liman Kara college is located near the hilly Gwoza town which the military is still trying to liberate from the Book Haram sect. The town was taken by terrorists in early August.
Attempts by security forces to retake Gwoza failed with some soldiers including a Liutenant Colonel still unaccounted for.Meanwhile, some soldiers have refused to go to the battle front with equipment they called “obsolete”.
