Dan Levene, Chelsea correspondent for the Fulham Chronicle, believes Jose Mourinho is likely to bring in a striker before the transfer window closes on Monday.
Mourinho has insisted there will be no more signings this summer, after doing deals for Cesc Fabregas, Diego Costa, Filipe Luis and Didier Drogba.
But, with Fernando Torres in talks over a loan move to AC Milan and Costa struggling with injury, Levene fully expects the Blues boss to enter the transfer market again.
“You really have to suspect he will go out and buy someone,” he said, speaking on the Hawksbee and Jacobs show.
“There is a belief, certainly from Mourinho, that he needs three top strikers and it is quite clear that he doesn’t consider Torres as one of them. There must be someone else on the way.”
