NMA Calls off Strike, Doctors to Resume on Monday

The Nigerian Medical Association has called off its strike action which has lingered on for about 65 days.
The President of the Association, Dr. Kayode Obembe told newsamen that the decision to call off the strike was influenced by the ongoing public health issues in the country.
While stating that Doctors would be at their duty posts on Monday, Dr. Obembe disclosed that the association has agreed that the Federal Government should recall all suspended Resident Doctors without any punitive measure.
While the Doctors were on strike, cases of Ebola Virus Disease were reported in the country. An attempt to suspend the strike weeks ago caused sharp division among members of the association.
