2015: Vote Out Bad Government, Pastor Adeboye Tells Nigerians At Holy Ghost Night

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christians Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has urged Nigerians to effectively participate in the on-going Permanent Voter’s Card collection exercise in some states of the Federation, saying it’s the only weapon they have to vote out unpopular government come 2015.

Daddy G.O, as Adeboye is fondly called by members of the church, said every member of the church must collect the permanent voter’s card, stressing that this would place them in good stead to make the necessary change when the time comes to elect the nation’s leaders at the next year general polls. He said ”it’s your civic responsibility to participate in the election next year and you must collect your voter’s cards”.

Speaking at the last Holy Ghost Night for the year 2014, at Km 25, Lagos -Ibadan Expressway, Shagamu in the early hours of this morning, Adeboye disclosed that he had instructed leaders of the church to compel their workers who run into hundreds of thousands in Lagos alone to show evidence of collection of permanent voter’s card as a prerequisite for promotion into the next level in the church.
Millions of workers, Deacons, Deaconesses and pastors in the church across the country were however urged to be good citizens by cooperating with the government to ensure the success of the exercise.
The workers who had a brief meeting with the G.O shortly after the service were further advised to be good citizens of the country by participating actively in the election to elect new leaders.
He urged the members of congregation to use their voter;s card responsibly, stressing that ” your voter’s card is your power, and you must use it well”.
