On the desires of their subjects, the monarchs explained that the creation of Ijebu State tops the priorities of the people.
They charged the APC candidate to treat the issue as a critical mission when he gets to the Senate. In their individual prayers, the royal fathers pray for the success of Prince Abiodun in the February 14 general elections.

In his address before the traditional council, Prince Dapo Abiodun, assured that some of the lopsidedness he has identified in the arrangement of things at federal level which are against the state would be pursued when he gets to the Senate.
He noted that the state ought to have been listed as an oil-producing state, saying there are oil and gas deposits at Olokola in Ogun Waterside local government.
Establishing his readiness to serve the people, Abiodun explained that if his ambition is about money making, he has got enough money that could sustain him in his lifetime.
He, however, promised to serve the people with all his might and influence to better the lot of the people.
Ultimately, the Awujale of Ijebuland hugged and blessed Abiodun, upholding him as a promise-keeper. Abiodun’s visit coincides with the New Year Prayer session of the traditional council.
The APC candidate was accompanied by the state Commissioner for Education, Segun Odubela, and the APC chairman in the district, Mr Elias.
