There was a melodrama in Enugu the Enugu State capital on Friday when a heap of Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) was found in a refuse dump inside the Enugu East local government secretariat at Nkwo Nike, a suburb of Enugu metropolis.
Some of the passers-by who saw the cards littered around the refuse dump inside the council secretariat were astonished when they saw the unusual sight.

It was, however, observed on closer examination that the cards did not share similar features with the ones currently being distributed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Contacted, the police spokesman in Enugu State, Ebere Amaraizu over the development said the police could not move in the scene unless on the invitation of INEC.
When contacted on phone, the Enugu State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Professor Chukwuemeka Onukaogu said he was away in Aba, Abia State, but would send somebody to go and investigate.
