*Meets stakeholders Tuesday on presidential and National Assembly elections
Ahead of Sunday’s expiration of the distribution of the Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said on Saturday that it has received the remaining voter cards for distribution in Lagos, Ogun and Plateau states.
This is coming as the commission would be having a stakeholders meeting with all the political parties, civil society groups and other stakeholders on Tuesday.
According to the Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman, Kayode Idowu, all the outstanding PVCs were received Thursday last week and have been distributed to the affected states.
The INEC Chairman had during a town hall meeting said that the remaining PVCs would be sent to Lagos, Ogun and Plateau state, which according to the commission’s record are among states with shortages.
