One month to the end of his tenure, Bauchi State Governor, Mallam Isa Yuguda, on Tuesday relieved his Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants and Personal Assistants of their appointments.
The state Permanent Secretary, Political Affairs, Alhaji Hashimu Yakubu, who announced the termination of the appointments of the governor’s aides, however, said the sack did not affect the governor’s Special Adviser on Due Process and other aides working directly for him and his deputy.
Yakubu said: “The Executive Governor of Bauchi State has approved the disengagement of the following appointees with immediate effect:
“All Special Advisers, with the exception of the Special Adviser, Due Process, all Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants and Personal Assistants, with the exception of those who work directly under the Executive Governor or the Deputy Governor.
“The governor expresses appreciation to the disengaged appointees for their contributions to the development of the state in their various capacities and wishes them the best in their future endeavours.’’
All the affected officers, he said, were directed to hand over all government property in their possession to the heads of organisations where they had served.
