*As Renovation Of Complex For Buhari Commences
President Goodluck Jonathan and family members have started preparing their exit from power as they moved their property from the President’s main official residence at the Presidential Villa to the Glass House within the vast complex in the villa.
The movement by the president who will be exiting from the Presidential villa on May 29 is necessitated by the need to renovate the official residence of the President, for General Muhammadu Buhari who moves in within the next two weeks.
According to reports, Jonathan and members of his family only had few belongings to move into their new, though temporary place of abode, as their main property had reportedly been shipped out of the Presidential villa shortly after Jonathan lost the presidential election.
Jonathan who recently disclosed that after handing over power, he will travel out of Nigeria for a rest before returning home, is expected to finally settle down in Otuoke and Port Harcourt where he was operating before being nominated as Vice President.
Indications are rife that the President will also be coming to Abuja since his wife had reportedly secured a more befitting residential building for their stay in the Nigeria’s capital city when necessary.
The out-going President had disclosed few weeks ago that he would be conducting the incoming President and his deputy, Professor Yemi Osibanjo round the Presidential villa on Thursday, May 27.
