The National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Zuba, Federal Capital Territory (FCT),Abuja, on Saturday fixed July 22 for further hearing of the petition filed by Mr Isah Dara of the All Progressives Congress (APC) challenging the election of Rep. Jisalo Zaphania of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Justice Elvis Ngene,the Chairman of the Tribunal, adjourned the case after listening to the submissions of counsel to parties in the petition.
Dara had approached the Tribunal with a petition challenging the declaration of Rep. Jisalo Zaphania of the PDP by INEC, as the winner of AMAC/BWARI Federal Constituency in the March 28 elections.
The Tribunal Chairman said the adjournment was to enable both parties file their final written addresses and come back for further hearing of the petition.
He, therefore, gave the petitioner 10 days and the respondent five days to file the final written addresses on the petition.
