Intending Muslim Pilgrims from Kaduna State have been given up to July 15 by the state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board as deadline for payment of Hajj fares.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Board’s Public Relations Officer, Alhaji Yunusa Abdullahi, in Kaduna on Monday.
According to the statement, the deadline would enable the Board to make adequate preparations for the 2015 holy pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.
It said pilgrims were expected pay N772,942.36 as minimum fare with 750 dollars Basic Travelling Allowance (BTA), while those paying for medium fare would pay N812,942.36 for 1,000 dollars BTA.
All intending pilgrims had up to July 15 to complete payment, to enable the Board to conclude arrangements with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), the statement further said..
It further said that Alhaji Abdurrahman Mahmoud, the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Religious Affairs (Islamic Matters), had assured the intending pilgrims of the Board’s commitment toward providing them first class services.
The statement added that 5,628 registered prospective pilgrims were expected to perform this year’s hajj from Kaduna State.
